5 key points mentioned during lecture:

1)Having a portfolio of all our work is very important

2)Using Facebook/Twitter will be an advantage in promoting oneself’s work

3)Being a freelancer will not be easy

4)Blogging will help in advertising own products

5)Meeting deadline given by client for a freelancer is important

What inspired me from his talk is that when he was around our age, he started freelancing and work hard to become what he had become now. Im really inspired as he can juggle between school work and freelancing, including the pressure of finishing the freelance work by the deadline given by the client . He is also the co-founder of Ripplewerkz. Very little people around our age can be a co-founder of a company. Also knowing the difference between school life and working life is important and is good that he mentioned it. Because some of us dunno the reality of working.

Finally, it is very useful to have a guest speaker coming to our school, sacrificing some of his time to tell about his experience. To know and get feel of the outside world will be knowledgeable  for us later on.
